FAQ

I can’t find the size package I would like to order.

Scroll down on the product page until you see “Size” with a box underneath. The box is automatically set to the smallest variant, which is typically an 8 oz. Kraft paper bag for pecans and ½ lb. bag for coffee. Click on the box to reveal the dropdown menu and then click on the size you would like to select it (it will be highlighted in blue). Once that step is complete, you can proceed to include your gift message (if needed), a requested delivery date, the quantity, and add it to your cart. Here is a picture of the size dropdown menu:

You have a PayPal button on certain product pages. Is this the only payment method available?

Not at all! PayPal is just an option for those who prefer to use that checkout method. Most customers will simply select the “Add to Cart” button, continue shopping, click on the “Cart” button in the top right corner of the website, and proceed through the checkout process as usual. You can also select the “More payment options” link below the PayPal button. Tennessee Valley Pecan Company accepts all major credit cards and TVPC gift cards. If you have questions about alternative payment methods, please call our Customer Care toll free number at: 855-353-1880.

I keep getting an error message when submitting my credit or debit card information online.

Primarily, this is due to an error with the data provided. If you have checked to make sure the numbers (including expiration date and security code numbers) are correct, please make sure the billing address matches the one on file with your bank or credit card company. Many times, this is what is causing the issue. If you continue to receive an error message, please e-mail us at: info@tnvalleypecan.com or give us a call at: 855-353-1880.

I would like to send items to more than one person, but would like to only complete one transaction. Is this possible?

Yes! You may simply add all items you intend to purchase to your cart, proceed to the cart itself, and check the box that says, “Send to Multiple Addresses.” You will be prompted through the steps to disseminate your products among the different addresses. We suggest taking a few minutes to watch a brief video here or read the steps outlined in this article if you experience any issues. Please note that if you have an online account and address book with Tennessee Valley Pecan Company, that does not automatically divide your order among the names in your address book. That is simply a resource for you to remember gift recipients from year to year. In order to actually assign product(s) to recipients, you must follow the steps during the checkout process.

I would rather download your order form and mail it to your office. Where can I access a paper application?

Click this link to download a copy of the paper order form. Print and complete the form (or more than one) before mailing to the following address:

Tennessee Valley Pecan Company

P.O. Box 1095

Decatur, AL 35602

You may also fax a copy of your order form(s) to: 256-353-7613.

Customers on our direct mailing list will receive a paper copy of the order form early fall each year.

Are your chocolate pecans available 12 months out of year?

Unfortunately, temperatures in the American South don’t play well with the delicate chocolate coating that makes our chocolate pecans so delicious. We are only able to ship our chocolate pecans between mid-October and late April, as long as temperatures are cool enough to maintain quality.

What shipping method do you use?

We ship using the United States Postal Service, which means we can send products to P.O. boxes. Customers may select their preferred rate/shipping method at checkout. Shipping rates are calculated, so you know you are paying the most up-to-date rate and offered the most cost effective options.

You used to offer free shipping year-round. What changed?

Tennessee Valley Pecan Company was able to reorganize our shipping procedures to lower costs charged at checkout. Remember, “free shipping” is a bit of a misnomer. When companies offer that as a flat policy, it means the cost of shipping is built into the overall cost of the product. To maintain transparency and put money back in your wallet, we lowered our overall prices and have now given you the option to pick the shipping price that best fits your schedule and budget. Now, customers who shop online or at our Decatur, AL location will see the same product prices. The only difference is shipping…the bottom line? You save money.

Are you able to ship your products year-round?

Yes! The only items we cannot ship during the summer are our premium milk chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate pecans as well as our Chocolate Chubbies (pecan turtles the size of your fist...seriously).

Do you offer a customer satisfaction guarantee?

Absolutely! The main point is for you to be satisfied with your product. Please follow this link to learn more.

I’ve ordered virtual (online) gift cards to be sent to a number of recipients. How do they get their card?

Please complete the transaction with your e-mail address and the information for each card will be sent to you. At that time, you can forward to the recipients, as long as you have their e-mail address. Please be careful not to send the same card to different people.

I’ve received my pecans – how should I keep them fresh?

First, we hope you enjoy them! Pecans are delicious, especially because of their high oil content. This also makes them perishable if left to fend for themselves in hot temperatures. Refrigerate or freeze your pecans for proper and long-lasting storage. If you don’t eat all the pecans upon opening (we’ve been there!), please familiarize yourself with the best pecan storage practices here.
